Porin MspA is an ion channel protein that is found in M. smegmatis extracellular vesicles (Prados-Rosales et al., 2011).

This part was designed as a domain for the composite part (BBa_K5403018), which is a fusion protein of truncated porinMspA, a flexible linker and GFP, aiming to anchor the GFP into the membrane of the vesicles of M. smegmatis.
